About Joe

Hey there and thanks for taking the time to read my blog.  I’m basically a research and development executive focused on imagining, creating, prototyping and sometimes production developing Digital Business solutions for global organizations.  I’ve been doing this type of work starting with Real-Time Communications software development beginning in the year 2001 and have been directing software engineering and providing consulting for about 20 years!  I’m extremely passionate about enabling software for business solutions, especially when it comes to connecting people, places and devices for a cause such as with Telehealth or customer service.  I’m also very passionate about presenting and public speaking, having spoken at many industry events to thousands of attendees and experiencing global culture!

As far as my credentials go, I’ve worked with and for Microsoft for the past 20 years with leadership positions at Microsoft Research, Accenture, Avanade (a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture), and even my own Microsoft BizSpark startup company, EC!  I’ve written several books, posted many articles for websites, blogs and magazines, held a ton of webcasts, spoken at so many events it’s hard to keep count, and have even been featured on CNN, Discovery Channel, NBC, and FOX Business News channels regarding innovation with communications software engineering.  Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, fishing, baseball, and spend any extra time with my family.  Little known facts about me include being a member of the Holland Society of New York and being a National Son of the American Revolution.  Oh yeah, I’m also a 2nd degree black belt in Kung Fu!

So that’s me!
