I will be presenting at the annual TechSummit event which is a Power of Three (Accenture, Avanade, Microsoft) event showcasing the latest in software development with the soon-to-be-released Microsoft Skype for Business platform through the pre-release Skype Web Developer platform.  We will be showcasing three solutions at the event that provide capabilities for several industries and two that integrate with popular wearable devices.  Our team will also be providing Skype Web Developer platform training at the event to developer audiences.

26-27 May 2015 – Oil and Gas Mobility Summit – Houston, TX

I will be presenting live at the Oil and Gas Mobility Summit in Houston, Texas showcasing Digital Business transformation empowered by Skype for Business apps and the Skype Developer Platform.

3-8 May 2015 – Microsoft Ignite – Chicago, IL

I will be presenting at the annual Microsoft Global Energy Forum in Houston, TX showcasing Digital Remote Advisory, a Skype for Business & Azure Web App developed with the Skype Developer Platform to connect experts with remote field workers and engineers to reduce human latency and improve communication and collaboration.

24 March 2015 – Skype for Business Summit – New York, NY 

At the initial Skype for Business Summit, I will be presenting Customer-driven Skype for Business Apps and Solutions showcasing cross-industry capability and enabling Digital Workplace experiences.  Through the event, customers will experience Remote Advisory solutions integrating wearable video endpoint devices, Telehealth solutions bringing patient and physician experiences together and Digital Lobby, an online replacement for physical lobby experiences, all powered by the Skype for Business platform.

10-12 March 2015 – Skype for Business Developer Kitchen Event – Redmond, WA 

The Avanade UC Apps team (US and Argentina Delivery Center) will be presenting applications developed and enhanced during the Dev Kitchen week in Redmond, WA with the Skype Engineering team.  On Thursday, March 12th, we will present live Remote Advisory and Digital Lobby, both applications for Skype for Business enhancing real-time, customer-driven experiences.

2014

15-21 June 2014 – Avanade, Accenture, Microsoft TechSummit – Redmond, WA 

Presented session at the Avanade annual TechSummit conference at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond, WA.  Session entitled, “Lync and Communication Enabled Business Processes” where I showcased our latest development in Lync-enabled business solutions leveraging the Microsoft UC platform set of APIs including UCMA and UCWA to enable Telehealth and Helpdesk/Customer Service applications for the enterprise, providing a return on investment for a customer’s Lync product acquisition and deployment.  Additionally, I co-presented with a panel of experts from Avanade to take audience questions on best practices to deploy Lync, develop applications, and how to work with customers and partners interested in the Microsoft UC platform.

18 February 2014 – Microsoft Lync Conference – Las Vegas, NV

19 June 2013 – Avanade Tech Summit – Redmond, Washington 

I will be presenting live at the annual Avanade Tech Summit on campus at Microsoft to Accenture, Avanade, and Microsoft attendees on the newly established CEBP@Avanade program including overviews of newly developed innovations around the Microsoft Unified Communications platform leveraging the Microsoft UCMA (Unified Communications Managed API), UCWA (Unified Communications Web API) and Lync SDK (Software Development Kit) capabilities for Lync 2013.  Attendees will see a live demonstration of the newly announced Avanade Health Collaborative Care (AHCC) solution integrated across Windows devices and enabled for Lync 2013 and SharePoint 2013.

Providing a channel-focused Unified Communications Workshop and Seminar, entitled, “The UC Continuum”.  The purpose of this seminar is to educate the channel and VARs in the Unified Communications and Telecommunications marketplace on how to transform their businesses and learn how to sell UC products and services through solution selling, breaking away from the traditional product-based sales experience.  This seminar will provide thorough advice on how to create a UC practice, develop and sell UC products and services, as well as understand the UC marketplace through detailed research, analysis and real-world experience.

August 2011 – CompTIA Breakaway 2011 – Washington D.C.
As a featured Unified Communications expert, Joe Schurman will present live at the premier IT Channel event for CompTIA Breakaway 2011. Joe will provide education around the business case for Unified Communications and new developments such as CEBP (Communications Enabled Busieness Processes) to inform Channel owners and partners how to successfully build Unified Communications competencies, resell services and applications, and provide a Return on Investement (ROI) for what is the hottest topic in technology today.

April 2011 – Redmond Magazine Interview
Joe Schurman was interviewed by Redmond Magazines Editor in Chief, Doug Barney, in the April issue and recognized as a Unified Communications Guru and expert. November 2010 – Microsoft Connections – Las Vegas, Nevada

As a featured Microsoft Lync launch partner, Evangelyze Communications was showcased along with HP and three other partners at the Microsoft Connections Event at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Joe Schurman and Tim Forkner provided marketing overviews and demonstrations of SmartChat and SmartClass for Microsoft Lync 2010 and SharePoint 2010 enabling convention attendees with an understanding of the Lync client application, CEBP capabilities of the Microsoft Lync platform, and integration with Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

September-November 2010 – Today in America Show
Joe will be featured through the Today in America Show with host Terry Bradshaw in a 30 minute segment to air 20 times through the Discovery Channel, CNN, Fox, local and national broadcasts across the US and internationally focused on the success of his organization, Evangelyze Communications, and his vision for Unified Communications in line of business application development through CEBP (Communications Enabled Business Processes). After 4 months post development, Joe will be speaking via panel at the Unified Communications Summit Executive event in La Jolla, California.
